The Royal Ballet heralds the spring weather with the ballet where the sun ever shines on dancers and audience: Ashton's La Fille mal gardee. Tomorrow the fine young soloist Alexander Campbell makes his debut as the ardent Colas, in pursuit of Yuhui Choe. On Tuesday night Marianela Nunez will be caught up in pink ribbons offered by Carlos Acosta, and on Wednesday night Natalia Osipova and Steven McRae will bound and sparkle through emotions and dances. And this latter performance will be shown live in cinemas in direct transmission from Covent Garden - on May 5.
